China develops new “breakthrough” wheat variety

China Science reports
China has developed a breakthrough wheat variety, named Yangmai 33, with high resistance to scab and powdery mildew for the first time. The new variety is expected to become a new generation of dominant varieties in China and help solve the world’s food problems.
